Admissions

St Matthew’s Catholic Primary School, a Voluntary Academy, is a Roman Catholic, primary school for children aged 4 to 11. The admission number, agreed with the Local Education Authority, is 30 per year group.

Pupils can also attend St Matthew's Catholic Primary School's Nursery from the age of 3 years old.

How to apply for Reception places

 An online application must be completed using the Bradford Council Admissions website.

Apply for a place - Bradford.gov.uk

 The application window opens on 18 November 2024 and closes on 15 January 2025.

In addition to the online application, parents/carers must also complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF).

The SIF can be downloaded below and must be returned directly to the school.

National Offer Day, when parents/carers will be notified of the school place allocated, is 16 April 2025.

 

Late applications September 2026

The online application process for Reception applications for entry in September 2026 closed at midnight on 15 January 2026, so it can no longer be used to submit applications.

If your child is resident in Bradford district and you have not yet applied for their Reception place, please download a Late Reception 2026 application form (below) and return this to primaryadmissions@bradford.gov.uk as soon as possible.

Alternatively, a paper form can be provided by any Bradford district primary school or can be posted to out by the Bradford's Admissions Team on request.

If your child does not live in Bradford district, please contact your child’s home authority for information on how to apply. You will be able to list Bradford district schools on the application you make to your child’s home authority, if you so wish.

 

In year Admissions 

If you require a place mid-year in any of our classes, please contact our school office in the first instance for a school application form.  We will then inform you if we have any available places in that year group.  If you decide that you would like to move your child, then you will need to contact the Admissions Team, at the Local Authority to apply for a school place.
